Harder roads start with a bigger multiplier and grow much faster per step. Hardcore starts at 1.4x and grows 30% every single step, which is why a full crossing pays absurd amounts and almost never happens.
- Easy mode grows slowly. It only beats the other modes if you walk far, so do not cash out after two steps.
- Hardcore is the classic “double a few times then run” game: three or four steps in, the multiplier is already juicy and the odds of dying are real.
